I think a licence is required for any performance of a
copyrighted work, regardless of whether money changes hands.
I agree with Victor that Harry Fox Agency is probably the
place to go. Either that or ASCAP or BMI.
As an alternate to all this, she can perform songs in the
public domain, where no licence would be needed.
