Hi All! Got a question. With all this Jazz history we've been seeing in Ken Burns' series, my memory was prodded a little. Sometime in the mid to late eighties (?), I remember channel surfing one Sunday evening, only to catch a piece 60 Minutes was doing on Miles Davis. I didn't see the whole segment on Miles, as I flipped over midway through, but I caught a glimpse of a scene from a birthday party for Miles, with probably eight to ten people present, sitting at a long table to sing him "Happy Birthday". On one side of the table was a long blonde haired woman - I instantly thought "Cool! Is that Joni?" This was the first scene I saw of that 60 Minutes piece. Does anyone recall that segment and see enough of it to know if Joni was the blonde woman in question? That blonde's hair was straight, so maybe it would have had to have been a little closer to later eighties for her to be our Joan in Miles' 60 Minutes piece, since Joni had that *dog ate on my hair* look going mid-eighties. ;-) Hope all have a good weekend!
