Hmm, this ties rather nicely with the "Those Darn Kids" thread and the 
concept of "teaching" what to see, what to hear and what lies beneath the 
initial hook.

Throughout today, the whole thread and Marcel's idea that you need to teach, 
I had the classic, "Donald in Mathematics Land" going in the back of my head. 
My oldest daughter is slightly gifted in math. She credits being taught to 
how really "see" numbers and their magic from this simple cartoon. 

Before it, she had a flair, after it, she had a love. Now, of course, she has 
a boyfriend, so that attraction has fallen by the wayside for a bit.
