But I think lyrically (and perhaps musically), Tea-Leaf has more depth
and is not as much of an embarrassment as Dancin' Clown.

I think there is always a danger of interpreting Joni's songs as
strictly autobiographical.  The story line for this one may have come
from her parents but not necessarily all the details.  After all, she
changes the heroine from Myrtle McKee to Molly McGee.  Maybe kind of
obvious to those of us in the know, but an alteration, nevertheless.
