Oh, see, i LOVE knowing that. I think it takes a tune that could be a 
totally generic love song (well, okay, generic for JONI) and points out that 
the love for a cat can be so strong that the lyrics suggest that the cat is 
a lover rather than a cat. I think that it really enriches the song. I mean, 
imagine what you would think about Judgement if she hadn't pointed out it 
was about Beethoven. Or does Amelia being about Amelia Earhart it less 
universal? I think knowing what she was thinking about when she wrote it 
only enhanses our understanding of the song, yet doesn't refute the other 
meaning we have in our heads, because Joni INTENDED us to make it broader. 
You know?

Oh, BTW, I'm not a newbie. I'm a REAL REAL oldbie. From 1996-1997ish. I was 
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and went by Emily back then. Call me Emma now. I graduated 
HS and am now a Northwestern theater major. So, hey to all the people I 
recognize the names of and recognize me. I'm back. :-)
