I'm behind in reading, so maybe someone has already
mentioned this, but this song sounds mighty like this
one (which is, as far as I know a "traditional"
folksong - in any case, I don't know who the original
writer was and I don't remember all the words, but
it's a good song if you "howl" when you sing it:

Old Blue died and he died so hard
