hi bob, and jules, and bob m.,
the "soggy bottom boys" actually consists of jerry
douglas, stuart duncan and dan tyminski. dan tyminski,
the vocalist, was actually a member of Union Station,
Alison Krauss' band. Jerry Douglas has been around
forever, and is an amazing musician in his own right.
He's done a lot of stuff with Peter Rowan (who I
love).
I'm not really familiar with Stuart Duncan, although
most bluegrass musicians are whores ;-) who will play
with anyone which always makes for unbelievable and
spontaneous music.
i fell asleep right before they came on (so unlike
me!) so maybe you'll have to send me the tape jules.
was gillian welch wearing one of her trademark
depression-era floor length gowns?

music by the Soggy Bottom Boys, and being told that it
is not a real
group. So are you saying that the SBB on Letterman was
just the guys who
recorded the song for the movie?
