I'm comforted by the number of responses to my point about Joni's lack of
recognition in the UK.I was also amazed to see that Boy George has even
heard of her,let alone that he thinks she's the queen of music.
I am issuing copies of her music to acquaintances from the 38 tracks I
recorded.As I said,the reaction has been good.
It's clear that she needs to do some concerts or appearances in the UK to up
her profile.She also would need to sing at least some older and more
accessible tracks - from what I know of her , my bet is that she would only
sing her latest favourites.
What is so frustrating is that I could easily pick some great tracks that
would have wide appeal,if properly packaged with a creative video and some
marketing back up.Joni doesn't seem at all interested in popularity.It's
real tough on her fans.She's a tough lady to admire......but it looks like
I'm stuck with my obsession for life.She's embedded deep in the
bloodstream.No other artist has ever affected me like this.Is there a cure
for this , please someone?
