I know that you have apologized but what you wrote about Marcel was plain
old vicious. There was no misunderstanding due to the lack of inflection
and facial reaction in the email communication in this instance. What you
wrote is a well-used perjorative slur commonly tossed out at people who are
Republicans. Maybe you truly didn't know that and just used it by
coincidence.
There are two very common and dangerous myths that exist in this community.
One is that everyone here is a Democrat/leftist and that Marcel is the only
Republican.
The other is that there are "insiders" or people from the "inner circle".
Anyone who tells you or other new listers that is doing you a great
disservice. There may be a few people who do think they are in some kind of
"inner circle" but I assure you they are only legends in their own mind.
