That's a very broad statement, colin. My point was not about Marcel, it was
about marginalizing a whole group of people for their political or religious
beliefs. There are other Republicans and Libertarians on this list who have
never been rude to anyone but do not post or have left the list because of
the distinct message that ALL Republicans are considered rude, fascist, and
the other assorted labels by the vocal majority here. There are others who
are not Republican, but who may be religious and/or fundamentalists, who
have never been rude to anyone here, but who rarely post or have left the
list because of the same distinct message. I don't condone anyone being
rude and nasty to people here. There are a few people of all stripes here
who send nasty and unwelcome private email to others and many who know me
will tell you that I have always condemned that. I just wish some people
would stop trying to pin the whole issue on their beefs with Marcel, which
is also a form of cowardice, and look at the labeling as it may affect the
larger group.
