For me, Pat Matheny's debut solo album "Bright Size Life" (released in
early 1976) is HIS finest work, and it also introduced Jaco Pastorius.
Also released in 1976 was Jaco's outstanding debut solo album "Jaco
Pastorius", and of course, his best work (in my opinion), Hejira.
