I do find it odd that women would sneer.  I can't
imagine anyone I know doing that - except maybe the
older generation.  Come to think of it, I'm sure my
own Mum would have thought it was weird.  When she was
dying, there was one home care nurse who was male.  By
this time, Mum was beyond the point where she was
really unaware of very much.  I remember going to
their place the night Mum died and this nurse was
there and I remember thinking - and I probably told
him too - that it probably would have freaked her out
knowing that a male nurse was attending her, and
thinking it was pretty darn funny (it's weird the
stuff you laugh at when bad things are happening).

Anyway, wasn't there (or isn't there) some big macho
American footballer who either knits or does
needlework as a hobby?  I don't remember who - could
have been Rosy Greer (sp?), or maybe Mean Joe Green
(ha!) I can't imagine anyone walking up to one of
those big guys and calling him a sissy.
