Thank you Sue & Nate for the distant pleasure of your company. I had a blast,
I didn't even hit any pedestrians this time around and I also managed to
avoid the potholes!
Oh and don't let this woman bullshit you, she can play that guitar and sings
very well. Give her a time slot at the JoniFest Anne.

Yes, of course I got lost. No sooner than I came out of the Holland tunnel, I
was in the wrong lane and ended up going up the parking ramp to the Port
Authority LOL So now I'm already in a panic, but I managed to find my way to
my Chelsea Hotel, checked in and head on down to Judy's Chelsea arriving just
about Rose Time. I missed the first set and never got to hear the Mixon's
perform (bummer) but I did manage to get smoke in Leslie's eye: ~(Sorry again
Leslie)

I called Alison & company to let them know I had arrived and they're on there
way. I sit at the bar waiting for more people to arrive and in walks Roberto
who I've never had the pleasure to meet before, but whom I recognized from
his picture. What a sweetheart he is. We chat a bit at the bar and soon
Alison, Nikki, Brian, Jeff, Patrick and Julius arrive. We have a drink and
smoke our brains out before heading into the Cabaret room where the second
set is about to begin.

David was awesome of course and his accompanied bass player Dave, just divine.
Kay, what can I say about Kay. You guys are in for a treat at JoniFest this
year. I hope we hear more from Kay and she comes out of lurkdom. She's a
woman of heart and mind.

Roberto plays a beautiful piano. I'm looking forward to hearing more of him
in Topsfield this year. Ashara get that piano tuned and ready!

Alison just never ceases to amaze me with her singing. This woman nails those
high notes. Jeff, I think you should follow that dream of yours. Quit your
day job honey.

Mitch nearly had me in tears with his cabaret rendition of Cherokee Louise. I
love this guy.

Bob S. from my own home state of Noo Joisey, did some great strumming of
California on his acoustic guitar accompanied by our own divine vocalist, Ms.
Alison E.

After Judy's, Julius and I found our way to Ali's local hangout. Never
believe Alison when she tells you she's gonna wait for you.
Luckily for Julius and I, I'd been there before and remembered it was right
across the street from where she and Jeff lived. All was forgiven ;~) but we
did give her hell about it. We hung around a bit and those guys shot a few
rounds of pool I head back to my hotel room and call it a night.

The next morning we all meet at the Riviera for brunch and yes more
cocktails. Nikki and Brian have to leave us and head back home. The sun is
breaking through and it looks like it's going to be a Chelsea morning so we
go to a music/street fair. After the street fair we promenade through Central
Park. Ali guided us through to Willy The Shake's Garden. We caught a glimpse
of THOTH who played the violin real good for free (I wonder what's under that
gold loincloth?), have an NYC street cart hot dog and head back to Jeff and
Ali's before having dinner. (See Alison, I can be from NJ and use big words
too)
One thing I learned about NY, Don't help feeble old woman across the street
and Don't argue with an NYC bus driver. "Mind your own business"

The restaurant that is planned for us to have dinner at appears to be closed
so we jam at Ali's and Jeff's with no word from Roberto and Patrick :~(

We urge Jeff to play for us which he does so beautifully on his new ltd.
edition Gibson guitar. Alison was so funny, every time Jeff walked in the
room she put his guitar down.
It's getting late now so we give up on Patrick and Roberto and decide to
order Chinese. After a wonderful dinner we bid our farewells and I head back
to Jersey and thanks to Alison, NO, I didn't get lost in my altered state of
mind.

Thanks for the bandwidth guys and I just want to say thank you to Alison and
Jeff for their hospitality. David & Judy Lahm for hosting our Judy's Chelsea
JoniFest.
Sue and Nate Cameron, you guys know how to party. It was too much fun.
Leslie and Steve, again sorry I missed you guys play but please provide us
with some MP3's?
and... I see.... Patrick, Roberto, Deb, Kay, Nikki, Brian, Bob, I lubs you
guys.
Last but not least, JULIUS, thanks for protecting me out on the streets. Miss
you all already.
