well, it's better late than never that i post a report
of the weekend's festivities. basically, i spent a lot
of the weekend seeing if i could push sue and nate
cameron to the edge...alas, they not only kept up--but
also managed to drink and smoke me under the table.
i'll tell ya, and jody can attest--never underestimate
a midwesterner!

music and food at Judy's Chelsea was great, i so enjoy
hearing david play and his bassist was amazing (and
looked just like donny osmond!). we all had a great
time listening to kay ashley, and all the performers;
unfortunately i missed the mixons' performance. i
remember being on stage and forgetting the lyrics to
some joni songs...other than that, the reports of my
performance are greatly exaggerated! as i shall prove
in september!

it was so great to finally meet roberto, he is just as
charming and lovely in person as you would expect. we
had tons of fun that night, and kept each other and
patrick laughing hysterically.

i was happy to play tour guide to sue and nate, who
were visiting new york for the first time and wanted
to see some sights. julius, the camerons, rose and i
hit central park, a street fair on the upper west side
with a killer blues band playing in the street; later
we ordered chinese and sat around playing guitar and
singing at our place. i havent played guitar that much
in a while, and i'll tell ya, my callouses are back
with a vengeance. we really had a great time. sue
cameron plays guitar like a madwoman, and we have the
pictures to prove it!

i was also lucky enough to spend a little time with
brian gross (who looks FABULOUS by the way) and nikki,
as usual, slinging back the amaretto and cokes (which
taste just like dr. pepper). she's always smiling and
ready for anything.

it's always an absolute joy to get together with
jmdlers, i dont' know quite how we've assembled this
amazing group of people, but i love being a part of
it.

ps: wally, the puerto rican girl says hi...and come
