Totally off the topic, but Alison's Madonna mention was timely with me. This morning
I was hunting for Madonna tickets on eBay and elsewhere. There's quite an inventory
available. A good friend of mine is a huge Madonna fan and I thought it would be nice
to surprise him with really good seats here at our Staples Center. Well, my friendly
correspondents, it seems Ms. Madonna scalpers are fetching over $500 seat!! I heard,
but am not sure, that face value is like $125 for the choice Madonna seats? I love
Gary maybe $125 worth, but not $500+ worth. It made me wonder how cool it would be if
Joni made that kind of dough? I was appalled when Phyliss and I paid like $150 each
for Joni's Chicago scalped tickets! It also made me more appreciative of the $58
front row center seats I have to Hall and Oates in October. Not to mention my 4th row
Tom Jones seats in September! They were a little more. $65! I guess *She's Gone*
and *Daughter of Darkness* are more in my immediate f!
