Thanks to all of you who have been so kind to look at my project and send
me extremely nice words, what a good bunch of people you are! I'll have
to print out some of your "reviews" and keep them, perhaps I should send
them to my mother :-) You know, if you only have a little of visual
imagination it's so easy to picture images in your mind reading or
listening to Joni's lyrics. I think this is really what she means when
she says that she paints with words and music. Lines like "I'm going
outside to get some air" or "You brush against a stranger and you both
apologise" in their simplicity they open up entire paintings or movies in
your mind. When working of this project, I almost felt obliged to pay a
small tribute to those beautiful words that are by now like tattooed in
my brain.

What is also so special in Joni's lyrics is the fact that they are
universal, you don't need to know the specific context in which they have
been written or the meaning she had in mind. After a while they become
your own (not in the copyright sense!).

There have also been some comments about the site of Joni paintings that
Jamie and I did some time ago. Jamie posted a few messages when it was
done and there was an idea of incorporating it into the official site
jm.com thinking it would be its natural home. If John is still up to it,
I'd be more than happy to send the files.

Thanks again for all your support. Raf (London)
