> Can someone fill me in on what the Tequila Anaconda story is?

Hi Kate,

The opening verse to Joni's song "Talk to Me" from her album "Don Juan's
Reckless Daughter" are:

"There was a moon and a street lamp
I didn't know I drank such a lot
Till I pissed a Tequila-anaconda
The full length of the parking lot!
Oh I talk too loose
Again I talk too open and free
I pay a high price for my open talking
Like you do for your silent mystery"

Somewhere either in the myriad of articles I've read on jmdl.com, or perhaps
I heard from a close friend of hers who has filled me in on some of her
lyrics, that the parking lot cited in the song is at Dan Tana's. Dan's
Tana's is two doors down from the Troubadour and next door to the former La
Masia restaurant (where I accidently stepped back on Joni's foot in 1981!).
It's very likely to be a place she frequented. At some point when I have
more time, I'll look again to see if this was mentioned in an article.
