Heehee, not exactly the most profound Joni lyric connection but a funny one
nonetheless ;-)

> So, do tell us the story of stepping on Joni's foot!?

I told my story in my first post to the list back in '97 and many of the
long-timers here have heard it before so sorry for the repeat. I was at the
Troubadour with friends to see their friend's band play. The band was
trying to be punk but really was unlistenably bad so we decided to go eat at
La Masia next door. There was a big crowd and a long wait. We were
standing in the front by the bar and I stepped back and hit a foot. When I
turned around to say "pardon me" it was Joni!! I was so stunned that my jaw
just hit the floor and I quickly turned back around without another word!
There's a kind of decorum that people who grow up in LA are raised with to
not chat up the local celebrities when they are out on private time because
we so often see them around shopping or dining and it's not cool to impose
on them. Even when I was invited to meet her after the taping I still had a
hard time talking to her! Thankfully, she was so gracious that she helped
put me at ease.

Oh absolutely! We have often laughed about starting a "Joni-Tours" business
;-)
