I don't play DJRD as much as I SHOULD, and every time I do it reminds me of what an
epic it is!
So adventurous, and so out of step with the rest of what was coming out at that
time...as a follow-up to Hejira, it blew me away with it's scope!
I like the fact that it's a single CD, not sure that you could edit it down to a
single LP, Anne...where would you cut? All I would do would be to (possibly) shorten
"Tenth World", but I've come to the conclusion that in its entirety it's a logical and
well-timed bridge between the 'real world' of "Otis & Marlena" & "Dreamland".
Maybe you can reduce "Paprika Plains" to a 3-minute single? ;~)
