ok, here i go! although i would hate to incur jerry's hatred, i must confess
that i detested everything on goofus whine [right!]'s album. i had read that
he was heavily influenced by the music of giuseppe verdi [i swear to god
that that was in one of the reviews!!! where the hell do reviewers get their
ideas?????] and that his voice was sublime, so maybe i was ''slightly''
biased when i heard the cd for the 1st time. stephen epstein played rufus
again in vancouver to help me overcome my rufus-phobia but to no avail
[partly because stephen's car cd player seldom worked]. i played his cd
again when i came back from canada to give rufus one more chance. however,
no matter what i do i seem to be unable to appreciate what it is that people
find in his music and interpretations. maybe you have to like twinks and i
like bears?
