It's very interesting... Try to fill two squares with the two colours -
rust and blue -, invert the image and what you'll see is that the two
coloured squares swap places. This means that the colours that Joni chose
for the cover are actually almost perfect opposites.

Black and white, shadows and light, wrong and right, cruelty and delight,
blindnessa and sight...
