I agree with everything you wrote. I didn't notice anyone bashing Islam but
fundamentalism and as you point out, fundies come from different faiths.
Unfortunately for many Christianity has  become synonymous with
Fundamentlaism, Islam with the Taleban and others, Judaism with Israel etc.
Reminds of the saying'truth speaks quietly'.
