Well, I'm not accusing Gates et al of anything
"covert" or "nefarious." It just seems to me the fact
that fundamental control of 95% of the world's
computers resting in the hands of a single company,
and dependent on that company's flagship product, is
inherently dangerous ... and puts that company
(MicroSoft) in an unparalleled position of power.
No, Gates can't "pull the plug" literally, but what he
CAN do (and is doing) is to make all new-generation MS
software incompatible with anything but his LATEST
operating system, thereby forcing the world the buy
it, or go back to paper transactions.
This is plenty alarming enough for me ... far more so
than the fictional conspiracy theories about
Microsoft's supposed "Big Brotherhood" could ever be.
And this time, I'm dead serious.
