I know what you mean.  We have a TV show here called "Target" (probably a UK
or US rip-off!) but they quite often secretly film under-age kids trying to
purchase goods, or enter premises where an age-limit applies.  It's
incredible how many store owners etc. just turn a blind eye, which I think
is symptomatic of the whole problem.  I know we've had these kinds of
discussions before about what kids should be exposed to, and when, but it's
still a scary subject.

I was heartened somewhat by comments by two prominent people in the movie
business.  Steven Spielberg said that his kids were really mad at him for
making Jurassic Park age-rated, because they were too young to go - and he
stuck to his word, and they didn't get to see it until they were old enough.
James Belushi made a comment about how he started making more "family"
movies because he wanted his kids to be able to see him doing his job!
