Hi Brenda,

Okay then....well, a quick glance at my website in recent weeks would
mean most of these acts might sound familiar, but it would be
interesting to see what reaction their mention will get on here, with
the wide diversity of listers in terms of demographics, geography and
musical inclinations.

Zero 7 - Simple Things (reminiscent of Air's Moon Dafari and Groove
Armada's Vertigo)

Faithless - Outrospective (3rd and best album from Rollo & co.)

Elbow - Asleep In The Back (includes the stunning Powder Blue)

Gorillaz - Gorillaz (big in Blighty, but are they making noises further
afield yet?)

Tricky - Blowback (a return to form for the ex-Massive Attackster)

Various Artists - Cafe Del Mar Vol.8 (mellow compilation of
ambient-flavoured pop/dance, pure summer)

Turin Brakes - The Optimist (entrenched itself as one of the year's
outstanding albums, let alone debuts).

Train - Drops Of Jupiter (massive, or so we are told, in the US of late,
it's nothing new but still a very pleasing collection of soft-rock with
occasional rusitc touches, as on the gorgeous Mississippi).

In addition to these, many more recognizable names have been delighting
with recent or brand new material - REM, Prefab Sprout and The Human
League to name just three.

Jason.
