It's just great how language diverges over the Atlantic. Over on
this side of the pond, "tits up" has for some time been an expression
describing something that's stopped working, or is working erratically,
"tits up" being derived from "flat on back, unconscious, or dead."
The thing is, "tits" seems to have become an abreviation for "tits up".
It's in spirited use in the IT world, but can be applied to many
different scenarios. i.e. "that server's gone tits up again" or
"it's so long since I got paid, my life's gone tits".
Gotta love the english language...
