AAAUUUGGHHH!!!! I find this more & more annoying everytime it
happens. What's with people at concerts these days?

I had a very similar experience when The Moody Blues played the Gorge
with an orchestra a few years ago. All in all it was an enjoyable
show, the first time I had ever attended a rock concert with my older
brother, but the sound was horrible. I wondered why they felt the
orchestra needed to be miked but maybe it really was necessary. The
Gorge is a large venue. But still, although it wasn't the New York
Philharmonic or anything, it was a large enough orchestra that I would
think the sound would carry. But maybe not over the electric
instruments. Anybody know what the logistics are of making a concert
like this work on a sound system in a large venue?
