While I really like Magento, it is a bit of a nightmare at times. Updating is buggy at times, but once you know the secrets it works well. I am building some neat stuff for Magneto.

Bernie,

Virtuemart is a nightmare. Magento Commerce is a great solution if you are looking for full-featured ecommerce. The only downside to Magento is if you need to do heavy customization. It can certainly be done but Magento is a complex app and so the learning curve can be a bit steep.

And...FYI...Magento now comes in two flavors..a community and an enterprise edition.

Greetings All,

Lincoln Center is looking to do a rapid-deployment transaction engine swap for a subsection of our business. We are looking at Virtuemart, but I am quite apprehensive after reading some reviews re: bugs/support.

Was curious what folks have working in the wild, and any suggestions/pointers/bewares anyone can share.

Thanks!
