hey Gary, thanks for your response. I hear what you are saying that using tags is a way to go. A tag solution was my first approach, but I could find no way to create tag menu items (to mimic sec/cat) for addressable tag labled article lists/layouts. Do you know of a solution/technique to do this?
Plus, all of the cool news article layout modules (JXTC/Gavick News Pro, etc.) all only supported (as in "loodked for") joomla sec/cat, with the exception of RokNews which could also support k2 elements. I am sure there is probably a way to do this by combining alot of the techniques mentioned, but it just seems to me that when creating a new CCK capability it is a missed opportunity to not also improve and make an easy way to handle complex categorization, especially since it has been accomplished with the directory/listing solutions. Obviously I am not an extension developer and there could be very good reasons why noone except one develper has attempted it, but it sure would be nice. :-) -Arzie On Mon, Jan 25, 2010 at 10:00 AM, <joomla-requ...@lists.nyphp.org> wrote: > Send joomla mailing list submissions to > joomla@lists.nyphp.org > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://lists.nyphp.org/mailman/listinfo/joomla > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > joomla-requ...@lists.nyphp.org > > You can reach the person managing the list at > joomla-ow...@lists.nyphp.org > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of joomla digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
