Hi Hector,

I have a few clients using Joomla on GoDaddy and I find their sites to be very
slow. Also GoDaddy has a cached server so changes you make to an .htaccess
file can take up to an hour for you to see the results. I like, use and
recommend Hostgator for Joomla sites, plus their customer service is pretty
good too.

Subject: [joomla] Hosting a Joomla website in the US

Hey everyone!

I have a friend in NY who wants to put up his Joomla website. He asked me for
advice, but the only hosting company I know there is GoDaddy.

I have my .com domain registered there, no problems so far. How about hosting?

Do you have any other suggestions? Of course, it MUST be Joomla-friendly!!

Cheers!
