Well, here we go, time to upgrade to Oracle 23c to get even more out of
this vision! (it was announced this week in Las Vegas Oracle Cloud World)

Seems like a truly fantastic approach to map between trees and relations.
Will play with their 23c beta in the near future. A lot of their ideas can
probably be mapped to jOOQ, and of course, jOOQ will support this
particular Oracle feature as well as possible via:
