Dear Commando,
THE NEED FOR CHAPTER
COOPERATION
Ah! The COJOSAA
Chapter. Our home. The basic unit of the COJOSAA Organizational structure.
We have 6 Chapters
locally and 2 International Chapters (which are technically not Chapters.)
In my previous
letter (Letter #6: The Need For Cyber
Chapters And Cyber Meetings) I suggested 2 more local Chapters and 3
International Chapters to cover all Jos Commandos everywhere. However, these
won’t be the regular, traditional Chapters, but will reside on the internet.
As more Chapters
come on stream, there will be a greater need for more collaboration, more co
operation and more cross-pollination between the Chapters of the COJOSA Family.
So far, not enough
of these are happening.
CHAPTER RIVALRY
Our Chapters are
more of rivals than partners.
During the burial of
Papa Uwakwe, COJOSA North America insisted on giving their financial
contributions separate from all the other Chapters. So instead of one
contribution from ALL of Papa Uwakwe’s children, we had two different
announcements.
