March 2013-Date MY GOALS AS A PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER FOR THE COJOSA FAMILY Public relations involve planning, organizing and directing the resources of an Organization towards achieving corporate objectives.Nothing happens by accident. So when you see an organization or association getting its objectives right, and achieve its corporate vision, you can be certain there is a deliberate effort being put in by its public relations team. If voted as Public Relations officer of this great Association, I would like to work with the Leadership towards establishing COJOSA as an Institution and not just an association. The following are some of the objectives I would like to see achieved by a Public Relations Team working on behalf of this great body: 1. The transformation of COJOSA into a corporate entity, an entity whose existence will impact greatly on its members, the School, as well as the society. 2. The establishment of a corporate face that can interface with the corporate world and other Government Institutions and agencies. 3. The growth of an organization that will drive worthy causes and events that will position COJOSA as an Institution to be reckoned with while at the same time promoting its Alumnus. In order to achieve all of the above, we (my Team and I) would put in place structures that will enable us to deliver on these set objectives. Such structures will include the following: a. A Year plan on activities aimed at not just fostering the growth of the Association, but also aimed at positioning COJOSA as a purpose driven organization. b. A Year plan on CSR driven initiatives: As an organization we are only as strong as who and what the world perceives of us. c. A Media/Press friendly COJOSA Platform Without letting the cat out of the bag, I trust this will serve as a brief on my goals and objectives, if given the opportunity to serve. Thank you. Sept. 25th 2013.

The final list will be posted by the Secretary of the LOC who has the data on those who have registered. Notably John Akadang has declined the nomination to be on the board put forward by his chapter president Saleh Barka. All others are so far still in the race. I will implore the LOC to publish this final list tomorrow by 10am. to give all adequate time to make up their minds. Meanwhile I feel it is still healthy for omitted candidates to declare their intentions by themselves in this forum and other media forums. We are commandos , let's reflect the decisive action we are known for. Candidates, please let's be sure we have something to offer before we put in our candidacy, and be sure of position you are going to be contesting for. 'Nominators' Be sure your proposed candidate buys in, before going public. Please is it possible for all the candidates to be collated by an individual and the final list posted I am getting confused. It will be more orderly to get someone to put the list together Sir. That is my humble suggestion. Thank you. Bridget Davies88 set. Abuja Chapter has thrown our very own Gbenga Oyeniyi as Candidate for Director of Socials and Sports. Blessed is he amongst women lol. (His details will be forwarded to the LOC shortly). I am not yet clear on Glory Kude who may wish to vie for VP Finance instead of VP Conventions if she does this will leave the slot for VP conventions vacant. Note that candidates that have not payed their necessary registration dues will be disqualified without fear or favor so help me God. Also note that the Chapter presidents have the right to present a case for disqualification of candidates within their jurisdiction. Any commando who wishes to vote by proxy must 1. Pay the registration fee 2. Submit there name and phone number to the LOC with the evidence of the payment of there registration fee. 3. All ex commandos that have done this can vote using the submitted phone number. 4. Your name and set will be verified by your chapter if you belong to one and if you don't we will require further evidence that you are who you say you are from 3 of your classmates that attend chapter meetings. 5. Note voting commences from Thursday 26th September till 12 Noon Saturday 28th September. However there's more fun in being there live!!! I wish all the contestants all the best. It would be nice to see some manifesto from the contestants in order for us to vote wisely. Also since some of us will be voting by proxy how does the Electoral committee plan to verify that the text they receive are valid (i.e from the people eligible to vote) and who are those eligible to vote. They are vying for 8 available positions and each registered commando can vote for 8 members of the board only. I will at this time like to clarify that there is no positioned reserved for anybody.
