I have no particular attachment to any curves, but from what I'm seeing in some chatter among prominent cryptographer's, the NIST curves are kind of suspect (I think the SafeCurves site makes this argument quite well), and Bernstein's curves (the 25519 one in particular) seem to be popular as alternatives.
