yes, completely agree, (fortunately got myself an additional display so usually 
I'm not suffering from space problems).

One feature that could really improve usability and also lower the entrance 
level (IMHO) would be right click context sensitive menus, possibly even 
structured into several submenus. Advanced 3d modellers and CAD systems could 
be an example. some subgroups could be selection, tagging, cut&paste, plugin 
related, geometry operations, info (authors,versions,...), user defined,etc
I.e. an alternative way to access common functionality. The main issue I see is 
that right click and drag is taken by moving the map.
