After vocational B.Com., a lovely gal from Kanjirapilly (Kerala) went to Cherthala a coastal area. Lincy was there to ask the anglers to �Follow Him.�
Allappey is a ghost town, which lost its heritage as a wealthy district in Kerala. Being a part of this ghost town Cherthala is also not economically sound. Mainly in this area people depends on fishing and most of the fishermen follows Latin rites. About their spirituality it is deep rooted. They completely depend on the sea for their lively hood. Most part of their day and nights are in the sea. Yaa, they lead a highly risky life. Most of their life depends in the hands of God! Therefore, it�s very easy to find faithful and loyal people in this place. Lincy herself moved by their adherent faith. She adds now she too knows how to fully depend on God. One day she was at church for adoration. She noticed a girl crying in front of the Blessed Sacrament. That girl spend a lot of time there, Lincy was also praying for her since she knew her. When she was about to leave Lincy approached her and asked the reason for her tears. She poured out her tail of woe. Finally, she told that she was out the verge of suicide, as she didn�t have the money to pay even the examination fees. Lincy consoled her by reading some Bible verses and wrote to �Shalom�(prayer group, Calicut) asking for help. The Shalom prayer group sent that girl a 5000/Rs. Cheque and by God�s grace now she is alive and studying well. Thus, Lincy was a wonderful tool in the hands of God who worked miracle for that poor fisher girl. We too must have met many people who deserve our help. If you don�t have any resources to help that person at least try to open a door for them to receive help. Lincy once was asked to handle a session about �St.Paul.� she delivered a good speech about �St.Paul� and mainly stressed how graciously he accepted the hardships of life. After the session an elder member approached her and asked � �Lincy how is your stay at hostel?� �Uncle, everything is fine. But mosquitoes! Ohhhhh with that I�m fed up, it makes life terrible.� �Lincy now you told as that we have to bear any hardships in our life�. Even a small bite of mosquito how much you complained!!!� By saying this uncle went away�.. He taught Lincy a good lesson with his small dialogue. Lincy reminds us again � Do whatever we preach! Let us ask God to give us strength to practice what we preach. Praise God!
