Hi, sorry didn't read any of the previous posts but here are my 2 cents! - My one gripe about the plugin page is the search results... too confusing... more titles, less descriptions/comments please! :) - I'm pretty sure someone suggested that "standard" plugins be adopted because there are so many similar ones and some do the job better than others, etc. But the truth is that by doing this you might inadvertently discourage future plugin development from less-experienced users.
Short list of improvements: 1) Archive old/unsupported/unused/etc plugins (its pretty easy to determine considering revisions and downloads) 2) Adopt a "jQuery Recommended/Editor's Choice" badge/nomenclature or something and also encourage more ratings so that its easier to pick out the best plugin in each category 3) When viewing and searching order by specific criteria: Editor's Choice, Rating vs Downloads (some meaningful proportion) and also maybe a spotlight for newest plugins somewhere 4) Stricter submission/revision policy (make sure proper documentation, licensing, examples, etc) and also check for similar plugins and maybe the authors will be humble enough to identify whats good in each one and combine efforts to make just one! 5) Best plugin Contests! :) PS - I like that the jQuery core is small and extensible and even though there's tons of plugins that "could" or "should" be part of the core, props to holding out! :) -Alex On Oct 14, 3:58 pm, "Jörn Zaefferer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > That sounds very good to me!
