Well, no, not exactly. This is a very specific case here: This user
wants to bind a live event to an element for any inner element
*except* for those that are an anchor. If his markup was structured
differently, for example:

    <li><a href="#">I go one place</a><span>I go another</span></li>

Then you could bind directly to "li span" and not worry other events.

It's both. Internet Explorer has problems with all of those events and
we wanted to be able to implement a smart solution that we could feel
good about - so until we can (likely for jQuery 1.3.2) we don't
recommend that people use them.
