mmmkay, but that begs the question

why doesnt isn't this
    $('', document);  // [ document ]

then equivalent to
    $(document).find('');  // [ ]


If $() is defined to always return an empty collection there's no need
to distinguish between '' the selector  and '' the html.
(same should go for other falsy values IMO)
