The blind users can use jQuery because jQuery means just common text
scripting which is very accessible for the blind.
Not all the jQuery widgets are accessible, but the most important like
accordion or the tab panes and others are accessible for using them also,
not only for programming.

forums and lists. With a forum, you have to log in. With a list, you
receive the email.
No need for mutual exclusivity here. Zoho has had email notifications
working for forum.jquery.com as of a few weeks ago. You can subscribe to
get email updates on
- specific subforums
- specific threads
- all posts by a particular author(s)
It's quite nice. Before that, I know a lot of people were using rss2email
services, which still work.
