This is a release candidate of the upcoming 0.9.0 release of JRuby. This is a huge release. Beside fixing a large number of bugs, we also boast: - RubyGems 0.9.0 installed and working - WEBrick runs - Ruby on Rails runs on top of WEBrick (and generation scripts work) - much improved YAML parser thanks to JvYAML and RbYAML projects - we bundle all non-native standard libraries in our distribution For more information on trying Ruby on Rails, please check the document docs/README.rails in the distribution. Please download and try to poke holes in this release. We are hoping to release the official release of 0.9.0 on July 5 barring any unforeseen show stoppers. Even if what you discover may not seem critical still please report it.
