Other possible causes:

- OutOfMemoryErrors
- JVM bugs -- I highly recommend using 1.2.2_05a or higher (if there is a newer
one for Solaris yet)
- native code that you use in your app (via JNI)

Those are the logs most likely to have helpful data.
