The deploy tool in the J2EE reference implementation takes in the class
files for the bean (remote interface, home interface, and bean class) and,
using the New Enterprise Bean, creates the employment descriptor, which you
can then edit via the panels in the deploy tool. Forte for Java, WebSphere
(VA Java), WebLogic deploy tool, and Sybase EAserver all work that way.
