Brian,
We've seen this happen on occasion but not consistently.
Does this happen to you with one particular jsp file?
Can you do me a favor? When this happens again, can you send me the jsp,
java and class files before you delete the java and class files for
regeneration and recompilation?
Thanks,
Steve

Subject: Bad magic number
I have been getting the following error with frightening regularity:
javax.servlet.ServletException: jrun__admin__project__project_list2ejsp1f
(Bad magic number)
java.lang.ClassFormatError: jrun__admin__project__project_list2ejsp1f (Bad
magic number)
Has anyone else seen this? I can fix it by removing the .class and .java
file and forcing a recompilation of the jsp, but why is it happening in the
first place?
thanks,
brian
