FYI ... we have this listed as a bug with JRun that only happens under the
1.3 JDK. Here is a portion of the description ... the bug occurs due to a
reported issue from Sun. Hope this helps.
"This issue is listed in Sun's bug parade as bug # 4323062. However, the
comments from Sun indicate that this is not a bug and there is a workaround.
The workaround is to modify the service wrapper so that it ignores
CTRL_LOGOFF_EVENT. The link for this issue on the Sun bug parade is

Subject: Re: JRun 3 NT Service Strange Problems
Hi,
I had a similar problem with an NT machine before,
not using JRun, but another product,Forte.
The services would not stay up as you have
described. What I did was go into Server Manager -
computer - services, moves the services from auto to
manual -close out Server Manager, log off the
machine and then log back on - go back in and select
automatic for services in Server Manger and the
services stayed up after logging out! This some how
fixed the problem???
I know sounds weird, but it worked and I researched
this issues for weeks with out finding a hint of the
problem.
Good luck.
