Victor,

Are you running behind a firewall? My experience with problems with web.xml
is two fold.

1) When running behind a firewall, you must first remove the first line of
each web.xml file, which points to a sun.com site. Then some of the JMC
features will work
2) Even after the edit, is it generally better to manually edit the file,
the JMC is not so great making changes to web.xml

Subject: problem with web.xml

Hello,

I came across the following situation:

    1) Manually edit the web.xml file and save
    2) In the JMC, edit the "webapp/session settings/session timeout(min)"
parameter and restart default server
    3) Open the web.xml file and all entries made in step1 are lost

Has anyone seen this before? Am I doing something I am not supposed to
do?

Any help would be appreciated!

Victor
