Jeff,
I have recently started using iPlanet Application server 6.0, not exactly
cheap, but it seems ok so far. It is a vast improvement over NAS, which was
clunky and buggy IMHO. I have heard good things about WebSphere. However,
both are large application servers, and seem to me a bit like overkill
sometimes. I have not tried Tomcat, but as an apache product, it is about
as cheap it gets. However, we are a CF House who expanded to JRun around
2.3.3, and I think the easiest migration is to move to JRun.
I would be interested to hear back from you what your evaluation of the
options turns up. Please post back to this list.
