Hi,

As far as textpad is concerned, you can create your own document classes
and syntax definition files. Java syntax definition is built in, along with
c, c++, and HTML. I created a custom definition for JavaServer pages. You
can also link tools such as javac to be run directly from textpad. Many of
the 'souped up' text editors can do all of this, I chose textpad because I
am used to it. It is simple and that is what I like about it. We have
JBuilder 3.5 here and I never use it because it is as slow as a snail (GUI
written entirely in Java). What kind of difficulties have you had with
compiling from textpad?

As far as JRun 3.0, it IS a Java application server. If you are looking for
a trial version of JRun Studio, go to Allaire's web site and you can find it
there.

HTH,
Victor
