Since you're coming from a ColdFusion background, you might appreciate
Ben Forta's JavaServer Pages Application Development from Sams.  It's
actually quite a good book and written in a readable style.  JSP: The
Complete Reference is also very good, as are the Wrox books like
Professional JSP.

If you are looking to learn the basics of Java, you might try the
Schaum Programming With Java.  The whole series of Schaum books is
good, since they all teach by example.  The price is right also --
they typically sell for about $12-$15.
