For beginners to intermediates (those who don't know or barely know Java), I
think my/Ben Forta's JSP book (http://www.forta.com/books/067231939X/) is
pretty damn good. I wrote a good chunk of it, including this sample
chapter:

loc=chapter&item=067231939X
I'd recommend the O'Reilly JSP book by Hans Bergsten too. He did a thorough
job. Personally, I don't like the Wrox books -- the layout and
inconsistency (both quality and subject matter) of the chapters of some of
the ones I've seen annoys me.

Subject: Learning JSP and Servlets
I am in the process of learning java to give myself a decent grounding
for jsp and servlets.
Bearing in mind people will have different ideas, please email with your
answers to these questions (please include some of your bad experiences
with books too!):
1) Can anyone tell me the best book for learning jsp and servlets fast?
2) Also can someone tell me the best reference for jsp and servlets?
I am a Certified ColdFusion developer and have been doing web
development for over three years and I am wanting to learn as much about jsp
and servlets and java based web development as fast as possible.
If anyone can help, please email me as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance
Paul
